Physical Education

WELCOME TO PHYSICAL EDUCATION

Mr. Michael Bender graduated from California State University, San Bernardino with a Bachelor in Science Degree, emphasis in Physical Education.  He continued his education and received a Master’s Degree in Education/Physical Education, from Azusa Pacific University.  He has been teaching for 28 years and has coached several sports which include: volleyball, football, baseball, softball, wrestling, and track.  The advice he wants to give to his students is “To finish what you start”.  A fun fact about Mr. Bender is that Bud Bender Park is named after his father. 

 

Mr. William Douglass graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a Bachelor in Science Degree, emphasis in Physical Education.  He continued his education and received a Master’s Degree in Education/Physical Education, from Azusa Pacific University.  He has been teaching for 30 years and wants the students to remember “Hard work beats talent when talent does not work hard”. He also has coached several sports which include: volleyball, football, basketball, and track.  A fun fact about Mr. Douglass is, he has been teaching with his Twin Brother for 30 years.

 

Mr. Michael Douglass graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a Bachelor in Science Degree, emphasis in Physical Education.  He continued his education and received a Master’s Degree in Education/Physical Education, from Azusa Pacific University.  He has been teaching for 30 years and would like the students to remember that “It’s Always Too Early to Quit (Peale)”.  He also has coached several sports which include: volleyball, football, basketball, and track.  A fun fact about Mr. Douglass is, he has been teaching with his Twin Brother for 30 years. 

 

Miss Carla Sittniewski graduated from California State University, San Bernardino with a Bachelor in Science Degree, emphasis in Kinesiology.  This is only her second year teaching but she is very passionate about her career choice.  Her main goal is to motivate as many students as she can to find some type of enjoyment in Physical Activity.  Miss Sittniewski is presently coaching Girls Volleyball, Boys Volleyball, and Girls Soccer at Rialto High School.  A fun fact about her is, she served in the United States Marine Corps for 5 years before she started teaching.  Her advice to all students is to remember that “You only Fail, when you choose to give up”.

 

Ms. Paula Manack graduated from California State University, San Bernardino with a Bachelor in Science Degree, emphasis in Physical Education.  She continued her education and received a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Azusa Pacific University.  She has been teaching for 27 years, and would like to help the students to understand that “if they put in the time and hard work now, they will get to work less hours for more money later”.  Ms. Manack has coached basketball for 10 years at all different type of schools.  Her goal is to introduce students to a variety of activities and sports, in hopes that the students will find some type of enjoyment and will want to continue physical activity for life.  ​
