Smarter Balanced (SBAC - Math)

what is Sbac?

what is on the test?

The Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium is the creator of summative, end-of-year exams in English and Mathematics. SBAC - Math is part of the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) system. The SBAC - Math is taken every year between 3rd - 8th grade, and once in High School (11th grade). Click the links to see more about the SCIENCE and ENGLISH portions of test.

The SBAC - Math focuses on four claims: Concept & Procedures, Problem Solving, Communicating Reasoning, and Modeling and Data Analysis. Although the test is untimed (students can take as long as they need) it is expected to take approximately three hours to finish; two for the Computer Adaptive Test (CAT) and one for the Performance Task (PT).
